As RIGIS turns 40 in 2025, the RIGIS Executive Committee has decided it is time to update the RIGIS logo. The RIGIS logo is used on our website, the newsletter, social media, and general branding for RIGIS. While there are no specific design criteria, we ask that you keep the design relevant to Rhode Island and make sense.
When choosing a font for RIGIS, please make sure the font is easy to read, and take note of the font name, and where it came from (if downloaded from a site, include the URL). Also, it is important to make sure it is not copyright-protected. Sites like Font Space will note if a font is free for commercial use.
When submitting the design, submit as a high resolution (600 dpi) .jpg or .png in both the original colors (Dark Blue outline: 39557c, Light Blue fill: 4A6EA3, Dark Green outline: a3bfa0, Light Green fill: B6CDB5), new colors (keep them simple and complementary), and black and white versions. Design work needs to be original and not include AI elements.
Designs must be submitted by May 15th. The top designs will be presented to the RIGIS Executive Committee for selection with the number 1 design being revealed in late summer, or early fall.
